Burl Franklin “Frank” Crowder Jr., 80, Rosendale, Missouri; passed away on October 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born on January 6, 1945 in Trenton, Missouri to the late Burl Franklin Crowder, Sr. and Norma Lee Hickman Crowder. He graduated from Spickard High School, and attended 2 years of college.

Frank and Linda Clapham were joined in marriage August 20, 1967 in Spickard, Missouri.

Frank was a strong, hardworking man who dreamed of a pioneer lifestyle. From raising hogs, endless gardens, farming, trapping, building, woodworking, fishing trips, and hours of reading westerns. Frank retired from a career as a heavy equipment operator with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Preceding Frank in death were his parents and a brother Randall Crowder.

Surviving family members include his wife, Linda, of the home, a sister, Linda Sue Ferguson, Independence, MO, daughters Jennifer Crowder (Greg Lippert) St. Joseph, MO; Katie Essing (Blake) Columbia, MO; Mary Graham (Greg) Villa Rica, GA. A son, John Franklin Crowder, Rosendale, MO. There are 8 grandchildren: Alex Essing, Andrew Essing, Elizabeth Crowder, Jon Martin, Wyatt Crowder, Faith Crowder, Robert Bartholomew, Sawyer Crowder, Paul Graham and Kris Graham. Great grandchildren Alaina Graham, Emily Graham, Ian Graham, McKenzie Graham and Charlotte Graham. Nieces Amanda Brown and Christine Ferguson, and numerous other family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Mr. Crowder has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AseraCare Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
