Locally made film, Accidental Family, premieres tonight at St. Joseph’s very own Missouri Theater.
You might find your favorite brewery or local shop in the film along with local community members as this film was fully shot right here in St. Joseph.
Director and writer Jason Hudson has been in the film industry for more than 15 years.
He says, by nature, this is a film that should be very predictable, but Hudson put his own spin on things.
“There’s things that come through the movie that are totally unexpected, so I think it’s going to be kind of a fresh redo of, like Kinsey was saying, those 90s classics that are just great, that people fell in love with,” Hudson tells St. Joseph Post.
Lead actress Kinsey Redmond says this is a one-of-a-kind feel-good movie.
“You get the laughter, the crying, you get the cinematography of it. You get your city,” says Redmond. “It’s already a beautiful city but even looking even more beautiful with Jason how he’s got so many amazing drone shots.”
Lead actor Justen Jones encourages the City of St. Joseph to come out for the event.
“It’s going to be a once in a life time event. Join us for a moment in time. History being made at the beautiful historic downtown St. Joseph theater,” says Jones.
From the creators of Christmas at The Chateau, Accidental Family, will be playing at the Missouri Theater all weekend with a total of five showtimes. Walk the red carpet, meet the cast, and enjoy an evening with a little comedy. Get your tickets online here.
