His mechanical ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills were admired by colleagues and friends alike. He married Judy Elaine Davis in Weston, Missouri, and together they retired and enjoyed a life filled with shared interests. David was of the Lutheran faith and attended the United Methodist Church of Weston for many years. He generously volunteered his time and talents to charitable causes throughout the Weston area, always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Andrew Vandahl; and his sister, Esther Marie Dunlap. His love of family was felt with every helping hand, big hug, and warm smile.
