Norman Grable September 15, 1938-January 15, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman James Grable, who passed away on January 15, 2026 in Warsaw, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 15, 1938 to Jesse Lee and Mary Corrinne (Fisher) Grable.  He graduated from Faucett High School in 1956, and attended Guard Business College. Norman married Patricia (Russell) Grable in 1958, she preceded him in death.  He began his sheet metal career in 1960 with Hausman Metal Works as a union sheet metal worker serving for 20 years. During that time, he was a sheet metal and welding instructor at Hillyard Vocational School for 15 years. He worked for Beadnall Electric from 1980 to 1981. In 1981, he established G & G Metal Works, providing quality sheet metal fabrication in St. Joseph and the surrounding area for 15 years.  He was a member of the St. Joseph Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 49 since 1971.Norman was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church.  On December 23, 1994, he married Janice Duham-Grable.  She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Gail Grable Armenta; three sons, Dennis, Mike, and Allan Grable; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Garrett Grable; siblings; Abert, Garold, George, Donald and Nadine Clark.

Additional survivors include two step-daughters, Jennifer Fusaro of Edwardsville, Illinois, and Diana (Glenn) Lass of Danielsville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Herman (Helen) Grable of St. Joseph, Missouri.

He loved spending time with family and friends, as well as fishing, hunting, playing golf and boating on the Lake of the Ozarks.  The family will receive from 1-2 pm Saturday, April 4, 2026 with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home, 6054 Pryor Avenue,  St. Joseph, Missouri. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the American Cancer Society.
