Richard L. Raub, 85, of Centralia, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Life Care Center of Seneca nursing home.
He was born September 17, 1939 in a farm home west of Frankfort, the son of Clifford Raub, Sr. and Hannah Thomas Raub.
In his early years, Richard had worked for different farmers. He then worked for Travellute, raising Quarter horses, for Brocke Brothers Implement in Marysville, for Case Implement in Centralia, and for twenty years he worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Seneca.
He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Frankfort and the American Quarter Horse Association.
Richard married Gloria J. Kuhn on October 22, 1967 at Vermillion. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2013.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, a daughter who died in infancy, Darlene Lynn Raub, three sisters, twins, Margaret Sunneberg and Margie Samsel, and one who died in infancy, and four brothers, Clifford Raub, Jr., Bill Raub, Marion Raub and Jimmie Raub.
Survivors include two sons, Tracy Raub, Centralia, and Michael Raub (Edna), Topeka, two brothers, Don Raub, Arkansas City, KS and Larry Raub, Home City, KS, and four grandchildren, Adriana Lynn Raub, Brianna Marie Raub, Pau-Anthony Stamps and Stephen Michael Stamps.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Burial will follow in the Neuchatel Cemetery. Richard will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
