Loretta Jean (Sanchez-Rios) Bernard, 84, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
Loretta was born June 17, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas to Adolfo Rios and Teresa Sanchez.
On October 27, 1956 , Loretta married William Bernard at Holy Rosary Parish in St. Joseph. She attended Holy Rosary Parish and St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was involved in the Altar Society and the Young Ladies Society Club. Loretta loved gardening and cooking with her family.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Anthony and daughter Patricia.
Survivors include her husband William; children, William Jr. (Melanie), Carlos Antonio, Jose (Cindy), Michelle, Michael Angelo (Melinda) and Raquel Bernard; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and her special grand puppy, Sassy.
Parish rosary 9:30 AM Saturday, October 7th at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Memorial Mass following at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be at a later date.
