Kassi Lyn Kirkpatrick, 39, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2025.
She was born November 14, 1985 in St. Joseph to Larry and Jerry (Abbott) Kirkpatrick.
She was a caregiver for several nursing homes for many years.
Kassi enjoyed fishing and loved being outside in nature, especially looking for pretty rocks to keep.
She loved spending time with her daughter, who was like a best friend to her, and loved being with her son and providing care for him.
Kassi also had a heart for all animals and wanted to save as many of them as she could.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jerry Abbott.
Survivors include her daughter, Lakaelin Courney; her son, Jace Kirkpatrick; her father, Larry Kirkpatrick; brother, Brandon Kirkpatrick (Kasey); uncle, Billy Abbott; nephew, Dylan Kirkpatrick; father of her daughter, Mark Courtney, Jr., and his mother, Debbie Williams.
Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals. The family requests contributions to Kassi’s Funeral Fund.
