Eugene Patrick “Pat” Coyle 1928 - 2023

Eugene Patrick “Pat” Coyle, 95, of Atchison KS, passed away Sunday December 3, 2023, at the Medicalodge of Atchison, KS.Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB, as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday December 6, 2023, with visitation following until 8:30 PM at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Benedict Catholic Church or American Legion and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Pat was born August 23, 1928, in Omaha, NE, the son of Eugene and Anna (Probst) Coyle. He graduated from Maur Hill Prep in 1947. Pat served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for GM and Hecklinkamper before working for DuPont as a Powerhouse Operator. He was a member of St. Benedict Parish, American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks. Pat enjoyed coin collecting, bowling, polishing rocks and was an avid KU fan.Survivors include, sister-in-law, Lorraine Coyle, Atchison, KS, nieces and nephews, Trisha and Dan Shannon, Ottawa, KS, Mike and Amy Coyle, Longwood, FL, Jeff and Connie Coyle, Porter, TX, Jan Coyle, great nieces and great nephews, Sara (Scott Roman) Shannon, Jack, Gwen, Anna, Julia, Melissa, Jessica, Eric, Kyle, Joshua, Dehne, Courtney (Juan) Diaz, Kayla Coyle, Katie (Chad) Bilderback, Clinton Coyle, Laura Coyle.He was preceded by his parents, a sister, Ellen Hagen, brothers, Jack Coyle, Jerry Coyle, sister-in-law, Helen Wheeler, nephew, Mark Coyle.
