Jenifer Marie Weishaar, 41, of Nortonville, KS, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at North Kansas City hospital, surrounded by friends and family.
Jenifer was born June 9, 1984, in Topeka, Kansas, daughter of Jeffrey and Connie (Raub) Mellies. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Nortonville. A long time 4-H volunteer she served as assistant poultry and rabbit superintendent as well as shooting sports coordinator. She was an accomplished cake decorator, always making sure families had beautiful cakes for special occasions. In her youth she attended Silver Lake public schools and was a cheerleader and flag guard for the band. She went on to attend Pitt State College, earning credits to serve as a CMA while she also drove buses and acted as a paraprofessional at JCN in Nortonville, Kansas. She married Caleb Weishaar, May 10, 2016, and they later divorced
She is survived by her children; Lucile, Kathrynne, George Weishaar, stepchildren; Makynna, Theodore, Bentley Weishaar, her parents, brothers, Jeremy (Jennifer Lovelady-Mellies), Jason (Cortney) Mellies, grandmother, Dorothy Hanson, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and her ex-husband Caleb Weishaar.
She is preceded by her grandfather, Allen Raub, step-grandfather, Jim Hanson, and grandparents Glenda (Milligan) and Dwaine Mellies.

Memorial services will be held 10:30AM, Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nortonville, Kansas with Fr. William Dun-Dery officiating the Mass. A Rosary will be held the day of the Mass starting at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A celebration dinner will be held following the burial. Contributions in memory of Jenifer can be made at Kendall State Bank, with funds going toward celebration of life expenses and future funds for her children.
