Donald L. Panigot, 97, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026.

He was born on August 12, 1928 to Emile John and Henrietta (Robertson) Panigot in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Donald served his country in the Army during the Korean war, answering the call to duty during a difficult time in history. His service reflected the sense of responsibility and commitment that would remain with him throughout his life.

Donald worked at MFA Feed Division, retiring in 1990, after 28 years of service.

Outside of work, Donald found joy in simple pleasures and the beauty of everyday life. He liked to go fishing and mushroom hunting, and he enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, and tending to his garden. He also liked traveling, which gave him the opportunity to see new places and make lasting memories all around the United States. These interests brought him happiness and reflected his appreciation for both nature and craftsmanship.

He is survived by his only daughter, Nancy Hollis (Terry), and his sisters, Pat Becker (John) and Theresa Logston. He was preceded in death by his wives, Madeline and Margaret Panigot, as well as his siblings Charles Panigot, John Panigot, Mary Dupree, and Virginia Panigot.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Private graveside services withheld. Arrangements under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
