ATCHISON COUNTY —A five-year-old was injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Wednesday on the Amelia Earhart Bridge.
A vehicle driven by Benjamin Woolston, Atchison, was westbound on the bridge and struck a stopped westbound vehicle at the 4th and U.S.59 traffic light, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The impact caused the first stopped vehicle to strike a second stopped vehicle. A five year old passenger in the Woolston vehicle was treated at the scene by EMS but was not transported, according to Wilson.
Police released no additional details.
