Tracy Lee VanBelkum, 73, passed away on September 23, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born on December 21, 1949, Tracy lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his family, friends, and service.
A retired member of the Missouri National Guard, Tracy was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's swim meets, games and activities. He looked forward to the camaraderie of his friends and often gathered with them, sharing laughter and stories over the years.
Tracy was a devoted husband to Beth and a loving father to his children, Matt Coats (Jennifer) of Billings, MO, Jaime Perreca (Massimo) of Peculiar, MO, Melanie Nolting (Scott) of Kansas City, and Ryan VanBelkum (Alyssa)St. Joseph. His grandchildren: Nolan and Eli Coats, Gioia, Dominic, Luca, Giovanni, and Lia Perreca, Zoey and Avery Nolting, and Jameson VanBelkum. Tracy is also survived by his siblings Leslie VanBelkum, Sharon Barnett, and Debbie Tye. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Dorothy.
In honoring Tracy's memory, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Legion of St Joseph, MO.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals.
