She was born on July 3, 1950, to Maude and David Galliher in Columbus, Georgia. Hollis dedicated her life to spreading warmth, joy, and kindness to everyone she encountered.Hollis was a compassionate and skilled dental hygienist, having served the community for several years. Her gentle touch and caring nature left a lasting impact on the lives of those she treated.
Outside of her professional life, Hollis was a devoted wife to her husband of 51 years, Bob Fullerton. Their enduring love was a testament to the strength of their bond. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter, understanding, and shared dreams. Hollis was a dedicated and loving mother to her daughters, Kit Bolling and Jo Meyerkord, and she took great joy in the role of granny to Blair, Macklin, Ruby, Charlotte, and Faye.Hollis found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for exploring new places, tending to her vibrant garden, and creating delicious meals in her kitchen. Hollis had a heart for nature, spending countless hours feeding birds and finding solace in the beauty of the outdoors. Her love for reading and Hallmark movies added a touch of enchantment to her days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and David Galliher, and her brother, John Galliher. Hollis is survived by her loving husband, Bob Fullerton; her daughters Kit Bolling and Jo Meyerkord; her sons-in-law, Brad Bolling and Matt Meyerkord; and her cherished grandchildren, Blair, Macklin, Ruby, Charlotte, and Faye. She is also survived by her brother, David Galliher, sister-in-law, Martha, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Hollis' life will take place on Friday, February 2, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 17835 Hwy 371, Platte City, MO 64079. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Hollis' memory and sharing stories of her remarkable life.Donations can be made in Hollis' name to the Salvation Army or the St. Luke's Hospice House.
