Howard R. Simpson, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the St. Luke’s North Hospital.
Howard was born on May 3, 1934, in Sparks, Kansas to Robert and Mable (Orcutt) Simpson.
He was a member of U.S. Air Force. Howard worked for Corn Products for 31 years and farmed all his life. He raised horses, cow’s hogs and chickens. Howard was a welder in his heart, he loved making trailers.
Howard married Wanda J. (Gatton) on September 8, 1962. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, sons, Bruce and Russell Simpson, sister, Mildred Bradberry, brothers, Don, James, Melvin, Norman, Harold and Fred Simpson.
Survivors: daughters, Kathy Arnold, Kansas City, Missouri. Delores Roundtree, Elkland, Missouri. Stepdaughters, Christine Britton, Camby, Oregon, Cathy White, Garden City, Missouri. Brother, Carl Dale Simpson, Elwood, Kansas. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena, Kansas.
Visitation: 1:00 P.M. 1 hour prior to service.
Burial: Fanning Cemetery, Fanning, Kansas.
