HARRISON COUNTY—A Missouri man died in an accident just before 8a.m. Wednesday in Harrison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Dodge Dakota driven by Gaige B. Sherer, 22, Ridgeway, was northbound on County Road 205 three quarters of a mile southwest of Bethany.
The pickup crested a hill and struck the implement pulled by a southbound John Deere 8345 farm tractor driven by Andrew C. Darby, 28, Bethany.
Darby had pulled the tractor partially off the west side of the road in an attempt to avoid the pickup.
Sherer was pronounced dead at Cameron Regional Medical Center. Darby was not injured. Sherer was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
