Alec Junior Hovey 88, of Cosby, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 in St. Joseph, MO.
He was born January 4, 1938 in St. Joseph, MO. Survivors include: wife, Jerrie Ann Hovey, children: Michael A. (Judy) Hovey, daughter, Rhonda R. (Randal) Salmons, Jeffrey S. (Jenny) Hovey, and Jody W. (Kristen) Hovey of Gower, MO, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 pm on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 2:00 pm, Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery . Memorials are requested to the Wounded Warrior Project, March of Dimes, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
