The August primary election is just two weeks away with voters soon heading to the polls to submit their votes on which candidated they would like to see advance to the genereal election ballot.
But before voters head to the polls on Tuesday, August 4th, there are ways to be prepared to ensure there is proper identification. Acceptable forms of identification for voting are any government- or state-issued ID. The Buchanan County Clerk's Office says residents can use things such as their driver's license or if they are a veteran a military ID and also a passport would also be accepted, among other state issued ID's.
Voters who have recently changed their address are still eligible to vote, but they should verify whether their polling location has changed. Polling locations can be found on the Buchanan County website.
The Primary Election will take place on August 4th. Polls will be open from 6am and close at 7pm.
