GENTRY COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Monday in Gentry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 GMC pickup driven by Jared J. Moffat, 21, Albany, was westbound on U.S. 136 six miles west of Albany.
The pickup crested a hill and rear-ended a 1987 John Deere Tractor driven by Russell D. Gillespie, 64, Albany. After impact, both vehicles traveled off the south side of the highway down a steep embankment, overturned and Gillespie was ejected.
A private vehicle transported Gillespie to Mosaic in Albany. Grand River Ambulance transported Moffat to Mosaic in Albany. Grand River Ambulance transported a passenger in the pickup identified as Seth K. Hutchinson, 18, Albany, to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The occupants of the pickup were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
