John A. Furgeson, 66, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
He was born on June 6, 1959, to James Howell Furgeson and Alice Frances Church in St. Joseph, Missouri
As an avid outdoorsman, and cherished family man, John’s life was a tapestry of deep family ties and a love for the natural world. He found solace and joy in fishing, hunting, and camping. These were not just hobbies for John, but a way of life that he passionately shared with his dear ones.
On April 28, 2000, he married his life lasting love Debra, with whom he expanded his family name.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Arley and Joe Furgeson.
John’s legacy is carried on by his wife, Debra, his sons, John Michael Furgeson, Keith Allen Furgeson, and Bill Linder (Crystal), his grandchildren, Lori, Mercedes, Harley Linder, Johnathan Linder, Shawn Linder, and Chase Linder-Reynold, his brother Dick(Kim), his sisters Carol, Patty, and Judy, his sister in law Janet and his nephew Hunter.
John Furgeson’s spirit will live on, intertwined with the very nature he cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals.
