Missouri American Water has issued a boil advisory for water for a large portion of the city due to power outages from the storms that affected the area.

Areas affected at this time include the belt north of Frederick, as well as much of the north side, and the the North Shoppes. Country Club is also affected.

The order is for the next 48 hours, and any water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled for three minutes. Bathing, washing, and other non-consumption uses are safe.
