Jay D. Shifflett, II 37, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at his home. He was born November 9, 1985 in St. Joseph, son of Stephanie and Jay Shifflett.
Jay graduated from Benton High School, class of 2004. He was a member of Faith United Baptist Church. Jay worked at Clarios, and was a member of IUE-CWA, Local Union 86116. He enjoyed sports, especially football and basketball, and kid's sports. Jay was a very caring man and will be remembered for his humor and contagious smile.
Jay was preceded in death by father, Jay Shifflett.
Survivors include: mother, Stephanie Shifflett of St. Joseph, sisters, Kristen (Jeremy) Martin of St. Joseph and Falynn (Adam) Patterson, of St. Joseph, sons, Jayden, Brody, and Brick Shifflett and their mother, Nicole Hayes of St. Joseph, his nieces and nephews, Trinity, Treyton, Matthew, Devon, Jaysen, Taylor, Austin, and Jax.
Jay has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2023 at Faith United Baptist Church, and Inurnment will be at the Perrin Cemetery at a later date.
