A truck driver died after losing control of his rig exiting I-229 in downtown St. Joseph.
The truck went off the I-229 ramp and plunged onto the railroad tracks near Main Street.
St. Joseph police report the driver was traveling south on I-229 when he took the Felix Street exit and lost control of the truck around six o’clock Thursday evening. Emergency crews responded and rushed him to the hospital, but he died of his injuries.
St. Joseph Police have identified the truck driver as 58 year old Kevin Miller, who was originally from Florida but resided in California. Police say Miller was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and sustained severe injuries. He was transported to Mosaic Life Care where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation
