The St. Joseph Mustangs got back in the win column with a 14-5 victory at Clarinda on Tuesday night.
The Mustangs had 11 hits and also drew 10 total walks in the win.
Trevor McCollum went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs. Former Savannah Savage Noah Bodenhausen went 2-for-3 with four runs scored and two RBIs. Lafayette product Cole Slibowski went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs.
On the bump, Aron Harrington got the win in seven solid innings. He allowed just two earned runs and struck out four batters.
The Mustangs improve to 7-5 on the season, snapping a three-game losing streak.
St. Joseph is home Wednesday night to open a four-game homestand. They’ll welcome the Des Moines Peak Prospects to Phil Welch Stadium for a 7 p.m. game. Gates open at 5:30.
