David H. Green, 80, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home. He was born September 14, 1942 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Opal and Alvie Green.
He graduated from Benton High School, class of 1960. He worked and retired from Seitz Packing Company. David answered to many names; son, brother, father, uncle, friend, and even to the name, "John Henry", which his aunt Elsie though he should be named. The name he cherished the most was "Daddy", when his daughter Stephanie was born.
David was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald "Skeeter" Green and sister, Charlotte Greer.
Survivors include daughter, Stephanie Clark of St. Joseph, brother, Rex Green of Kansas City, MO, grandsons, Tyler (Lacey) Clark and Stephen Clark (Baylee Flowers) of St. Joseph, 4 great-grandchildren, Caden, Aubree, Remy and Atlee and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will honor David's request of no funeral service. He wishes us to all live our lives to the fullest. Stephanie and Rex would like to Thank Mosaic Life Care-Hospice for the wonderful care they gave David and the support they gave us on his final journey. In lieu of Memorials, the family ask to please treat yourself to something that makes you happy.
