3 hospitalized in St. Joe after 2-vehicle crash

DEKALB COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just after 11p.m. Saturday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Mercury Sable driven by a 61-year-old Weatherby woman was southbound on MO 31 at U.S. 36 three miles west of Stewartsville.

The driver failed to yield at the stop sign, entered the intersection and struck an eastbound 2022 Kia Forte driven by a 37-year-old Gallatin man. After impact the Mercury skidded off the road and overturned onto its top. 

DeKalb-Clinton ambulance transported both drivers to Mosaic in St. Joseph. Buchanan County ambulance transported a 42-year-old passenger in the Kia to Mosaic in St. Joseph. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
