Rosetta Mae Jones, 90, of Platte City, MO passed away August 22, 2022, at the Gower Convalescent Center, Gower, MO. She was born June 7, 1933, in Leavenworth, Kansas to Edward and Bertha Stratemeyer (Brooksher). Rosetta married Donald P. Jones on December 18, 1959 in rural Platte County, MO.
She graduated from West Platte High School in 1951. She earned her Certification as an x-ray tech from General Hospital in Kansas City, she moved to California for a short time utilizing her certification as an x-ray tech. She returned to Platte City and worked for Dr. Parker for 14 years. She then worked 16 years for Medical Arts and finished her career At Cushing’s Hospital, Leavenworth, KS. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos, painting ceramics and just spending time with her family and her animals. She loved animals and was an avid supporter of Wayside Waifs. She was a lifetime member of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Farley, MO.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother John Stratemeyer (Kay), and a Daughter, Donna Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Donald P. Jones, Son Scott Jones, Granddaughter Hannah Jones (Andrew), Great granddaughter Parker Stahl.
A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Friday, August 25, 2023, at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO. Graveside services will be held 10am, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Platte City Cemetery. Interment following.
