Andrea Kaye Taylor, 59, Lathrop, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025.
She was born October 20, 1965 to the late Donnis B. and Willa M. (Constant) Wilson in Independence, Missouri.
She married Norman Taylor on September 26, 2015.
Graduating from Lafayette High School in 1984 with a zeal for knowledge, Andrea continued her education at Northwest Missouri State University. Her intellectual journey was paralleled by her commitment to serving others, which she embraced wholeheartedly throughout her life. Eventually, Andrea found her calling at the Daily Café and Bakery in Gower, Missouri, where her passion for baking and remarkable craftsmanship brightened many occasions.
Andrea was admired for her ability to blend creativity with her culinary skills. She was particularly known for her fresh homemade meals, carrot cakes, and cinnamon rolls. Andrea was also a pie baker, known for her gooseberry, peanut butter and strawberry rhubarb pies. There wasn't a pie she couldn't create.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; children, Tiffani Higgins (Sean) of Lees Summit, MO, Ashlee Greiner of Platte City, MO, Thomas Matcham (Karen) of LaQuinta, CA, Ricki Matcham (Broc Bromley) of Kansas City, MO, Rebekah Traver (Brian) of Palm Desert, CA, and Neil Taylor (Torrie) of Lathrop, MO; siblings, Matt Wilson (Debbie) of St. Joseph, MO, Kirby Wilson (Louanne) of Kansas City, MO, Kevin Wilson of Sheridan, MO, and Mindy Andrasevits (Krista Kiger) of Kansas City, MO; 17 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, Parkville Presbyterian Church, 819 Main St, Parkville, MO 64152. The family will gather with friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Parkville Presbyterian Church.
