The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce has announced a series of upcoming public forums designed to connect voters with local candidates ahead of the spring elections.
The series kicks off with a Mayoral Candidate Forum on Jan. 28, at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center. The event will be moderated by Kevin Waltman and is intended to provide a platform for candidates to discuss their platforms and visions for the city. The event takes place from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served.
For those unable to attend in person, the forum will be broadcast the following morning on 680 KFEQ.
Following the mayoral event, the Chamber will host additional sessions in March focused on candidates for the St. Joseph School District Board of Education and the City Council.
Due to limited seating, registration and a fee are required to attend the forums. The cost for Chamber members is $15 and $25 for non-members. The price includes the full breakfast.
Community members can secure their spot by contacting the Chamber at 816-232-4461 or visiting their website.
The event is presented by Farmer's State Bank.
