BUCHANAN COUNTY—A teen was injured in an accident just after 6a.m. Thursday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 17-year-old boy from Omaha, Nebraska, was northbound on Interstate 29 just south of the downtown St. Joseph exit.
The driver changed lanes and changed lanes a second time to avoid striking a slower vehicle. The driver overcorrected and lost control of the Hyundai. It traveled off the road and overturned.
Buchanan County EMS transported the teen to Mosaic Life Care. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
