It was a little cool and breezy Wednesday, but it stayed dry, which allowed high school spring sports to resume their schedules outdoors.
Baseball scores
Benton (2-1) plated three runs in the 9th and erased a 7-3 deficit to beat Lafayette 10-7 at Phil Welch Stadium.
In the second game at Welch Wednesday, St. Joseph Central beat Bishop LeBlond 6-3.
Girls' soccer
Chillicothe 5 Mid-Buchanan 0
St. Joseph Central 2 Bishop LeBlond 1
Summit Christian 8 Cameron 0 (Oak Grove tournament)
Boys' Golf
Bishop LeBlond won a triangular with Savannah and Smithville Wednesday with 148 team points. Smithville had 167 and Savannah had 197. Tim Johnston led the way for LeBlond with a 34.
Boys' Tennis
Savannah beat Maryville in a dual 9-0.
Track and Field
Several area schools got the track season underway with a meet at Maryville on Wednesday afternoon. Results can be viewed here.
