Jeana Marie Heidtbrink, 64, of Smithville, MO passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
She was born on October 19, 1961 in Hiawatha, KS to Carrol and Elba Snyder, who both preceded her in death.
Jeana graduated from Sabetha High School in 1980 and attended Crum’s Beauty College in Manhattan, KS. She was a licensed cosmetologist in both Kansas and Missouri. She was married to Scott Heidtbrink on August 4, 1984 and they were married for over 41 years. Jeana and Scott settled at their current residence in Smithville in 1997 and have been members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton, MO since then. Jeana loved working on their farm and had a passion for gardening and for canning the produce from her garden. Jeana accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a child, and had a passion to teach little children about Jesus. She taught children’s Sunday School for over 25 years at Mt. Zion.
Jeana was a much-loved wife, mother and grandmother (Mahma) and will be missed. She is survived by her husband Scott, along with their children Shannon (Kraig) LaRosh of Sacramento, CA, Daniel (Katie) Heidtbrink of Weston, MO, and Taylor Heidtbrink of North Ridgeville, Ohio; grandchildren Clara, Ben and Jude LaRosh of Sacramento, CA and Cohen and Ellie Heidtbrink of Weston, MO. Also surviving her are her three brothers Greg (Kara) Snyder of Palmyra, MO, Brad (Holly) Snyder of Morrill, KS, and Kurt (Jaynie) Snyder of Morrill, KS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton, MO. followed by burial at Ridgely Cemetery. Following burial, the family will be available at Mt. Zion until 2:00 pm for fellowship and to share memories with their friends and neighbors.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church to be used for domestic and overseas missions and benevolence.
