GENTRY COUNTY—One person died in a crash just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Gentry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Jay P. McGlothlin, 61, Stanberry, was eastbound behind a 1996 Kenworth semi on U.S. 136 at Route F three miles east of Stanberry.
The motorcycle struck the driver's side of the cab of the semi as the semi driver identified as Ethan J. Roach, 26, St. Joseph, attempted to turn left onto Route F.
McGlothlin was pronounced dead at the scene. Gentry County Coroner transported him to Roberson Funeral Home. Roach was not injured.
McGlothlin was not wearing a helmet and Roach was properly restrained at the time of the crash, according to the MSHP.
