Janet A. Lake, 74, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025.
She was born December 8, 1951 to Lawrence Vernon and Margaret Arlene (Crawford) Lake in Carrollton, Missouri.
Janet had a love for literature and music. Her youthful days were often spent immersed in absorbing novels and perfecting melodies on the piano.
Janet found profound joy in preserving history and heritage. She was notably active within the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), where she devoted her time and energy to the Shawnee Mission Chapter and held positions of responsibility at the state level.
She was a cherished member of the Overland Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her siblings, Gerald Lake (Barbara), Kenneth Lake (Vicki), Brenda Buery (Percy), and Darrin Lake (Lisa Steward); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Services Pending. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Overland Park Baptist Church.
