ATCHISON —One person was injured in an accident just after 1p.m. Saturday in Atchison.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Veronica Canderiaria, 51, Houston Texas, was northbound on 17th Street at Country Club Road.
When the SUV entered the intersection, it collided with an eastbound 2009 Mitsubishi passenger car driven by Linda Patton, 76, Atchison.
EMS transported Patton was transported to the hospital. Veronica Canderlaria was cited for failure to yield. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
