Sherri Day, 69, Amity, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024.
She was born on July 22, 1954, to Robert and Betty (Harris) Arnold in Kings County, California.
Sherri dedicated over 25 years to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher before retiring in 2020.
Sherri enjoyed being outside in her garden, mowing and doing other yardwork. She was a music lover who favored Pink Floyd and Zepplin. She also was a fan of the supernatural and enjoyed watching her ghost stories on television.
She loved her special cats, who she spoiled often.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Burk Arnold, and her infant daughter, Jennifer Skelton.
Survivors include her son, Anthony Skelton (Nicole); sister, Theresa Nichols; brothers, Tim Arnold (Kari) and Mike Arnold; mother, Betty Arnold; grandson, Bo Skelton; nieces and nephews, Victor Arnold, Jeff Nichols, Matt Nichols, Jessica Nichols, and Nikki Nichols; and great-nieces and nephews, Houston Nichols, Riley Nichols, Blake Kincaid, Julian Nichols, Spencer Kincaid and Jaxon Nichols.
