The St. Joseph Mustangs concluded the regular season with a 7-5 win at Joplin Sunday night.
The Mustangs scored two runs in the top of the ninth to break a 5-5 tie. Easton Bruce pitched the final two innings for St. Joseph, allowing just one earned run. He struck out four and walked two.
At the plate, Lafayette alum Ike Book went 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Mason Holton doubled and drew three walks. The Mustangs drew 13 total walks in the victory.
St. Joseph concludes the regular season at 31-16 overall. St. Joseph is home on Tuesday for a win-or-go-home MINK League Divisional playoff game.
The Mustangs await the winner of Carroll vs. Clarinda. Those two play tonight at 7 p.m. in Clarinda.
The Mustangs play on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. as well.
