Buchanan CO records 3 additional deaths; 75 new COVID-19 cases

St. Joseph health officials report three additional coronavirus deaths in Buchanan County, bringing the county total since the pandemic began to 64.

Health officials say one of the deaths, a man in his 70’s, had no known underlying health condition. The other two, a woman in her 60’s and a woman in her 70’s, both had underlying health conditions.

Buchanan County also recorded 75 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the total since the pandemic began to 5,325.

Andrew County also reported an additional death, bringing its total to 13. Andrew County also reported a surge in new cases, bringing its total to 993.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports a total of 363 cases.

Mosaic Life Care reports 89 COVID-19 patients in its system; 80 in St. Joseph, six in Maryville, and three in Albany.

Mosaic has tested 48,686 area residents with 5,224 testing positive.
