Denise "Dee" Schroeder passed away on June 26, 2023, in her hometown of St. Joseph, Missouri. Born on February 21, 1961, Dee lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and work.
Dee was a hardworking individual, who spent 23 years as a restaurant manager for McDonald's, and a total of 31 years in the restaurant industry.
She was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and she never missed a game. She had a fondness for tie-dye, Mickey Mouse, music, and the color red. She was also an animal lover, and she had a special place in her heart for dogs. Dee's love for Diet Pepsi was well-known among her friends and family, and she could often be seen with one in her hand.
Dee loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
Dee was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Smith, and her grandmother, Esther Courtney.
She is survived by her mother, Marilyn (Courtney) Smith, her children, Jeremy Schroeder (Kristy), Lea Campbell, and Jason Schroeder (Tanya), her brothers, Chris Smith and Rick Smith, and her cherished grandchildren, Samantha Schroeder, Madison Schroeder, Wyatt Schroeder, Aaron Campbell, and Cordelia Schroeder.
