ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 4:30p.m. Wednesday in Atchison County.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a 2017 Nissan Altima driven by Meagan Sipes, 33, Atchison, was northbound on 7th Street and was attempting to turn west onto Atchison Street. A southbound 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Nicholas Mullins, 36, Atchison, and the Nissan collided.
EMS treated Mullins at the scene for an injury to his leg. He was not transported. Sipes was cited for failure to yield, driving in violation of restrictions, and no vehicle insurance.
