MERCER COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Monday in Mercer County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford F150 driven by Bryant T. Elder, 34, Princeton, was southbound on U.S. 65 just north of Mercer.
The pickup crossed the center line and struck the passenger side of a northbound 2018 Volvo semi driven by Christoper E. Carr, 57, Chillicothe.
After impact, the pickup traveled into the path of a northbound 2015 Chevy Impala driven by Deann R. Dorsey, 57, Osceola, Iowa, head-on.
The pickup then traveled off the road and rolled.
Dorsey was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Roberson Funeral Home. Mercer County ambulance transported Elder to Harriso County Community Hospital. Flight Flight Eagle then airlifted him to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Carr was not injured. Dorsey was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
