David W. Magee, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025.
He was born on March 30, 1937 to Thomas F. and Lois (Fressele) Magee in Dunkerton, Iowa. He graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1955.
David married Sandra Ruth Rudolph on January 8, 1956. He served in the Army Reserves for eight years while working as a salesman for the Kirby Vacuum Company.
They moved to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1962, where he started the Magee Kirby Company as a Factory Distributor and was in business for over 50 years.
David and his wife Sandy loved boating and were both members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for 35 years. He served the Flotilla Commanders and Division Captain of the local Auxiliary.
He was a member and deacon of Wyatt Park Baptist Church. David enjoyed building and fixing things, especially cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sandra; daughter, Shirley Sisk; siblings, Jack Magee, Martha Meyerhoff, Lucille Stout, Raleigh Magee and Thomas Magee.
Survivors include his children, Paula Williams (Kevin), Pamela Parker (Wes), Scott Magee (Jan) and Connie Magee; grandchildren, Lauren Caivano (Robert), Kirk Williams (Sarah), Seth Parker (Sara), Kinsey Redmond (Chris), Benjamin Parker (Monique), Gabriel Magee (Dana), Sydney Hall (Collin), Abigail Raffel (Jared) and Allison Adams (Corbin); 19 great grandchildren; and brother, Gerald Magee (Betty).
