David Coursen, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024.
He was born October 16, 1947 to Francis and Evelyn (Ziolkowski) Coursen in St. Joseph, Missouri.
David married Sandra Kay Cornell on October 1, 1970. She preceded him in death in 2008 after 38 years of marriage. Together, they traveled throughout the United States as Evangelists.
David was a man of God and enjoyed preaching the Word to others. He also enjoyed construction work, carving wax figurines, sweet treats and spending time with his beloved family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Evelyn; his wife, Sandra; his son, David Coursen Jr; his daughter, Linnette Williams; two brothers; one sister; and granddaughter, Lacey Duree.
Survivors include his son, Dereck Coursen (Leandra); his daughter, Melissa Duree (Terry); nine grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Service 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Hosanna Fellowship Church, 17290 Hwy 71 St. Joseph, MO 64505. Interment Faucett Cemetery.
