Mary Louise Reynolds, 83, Madison, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, in Madison, Nebraska. Born on October 26, 1940, in Willis, Kansas, to Maxine (Kistner) and August Hossfeld.

Mary lived a full and vibrant life characterized by her loving nature, friendly demeanor, and passionate spirit.

She graduated from Highland Community College and dedicated many years of her life to the St. Joseph State Hospital in admissions, providing comfort and assistance to those in need.

Mary found solace and joy in growing her plants, nurturing them to flourish just as she did with her relationships. She had a passion for raising German shepherds, dedicating much of her time and care to these loyal and intelligent dogs.

Her journey through life saw her move from her birthplace in Willis, Kansas, to Saint Joseph upon marriage. Eight years ago, she settled in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Reynolds; a stillborn daughter; her parents; and her brother Larry Hossfeld.

Survivors include her children, Phil Reynolds (Karen), Rob Reynolds (Jean), and Mike Reynolds (Angela). Her grandchildren, Doug, Jennifer, Karen, and Billy Reynolds. Step-grandchildren, Christine Brewer and Samantha Baker; great-grandchildren, Myah and Maci Reynolds, and step-great-grandchildren, Eli and Zach Brewer, Isla Pierson, and Miles Baker.

Mary has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched, and her influence will continue to be felt through the generations.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:30 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
