BROWN COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 8a.m. Tuesday in Brown County.
A 2013 Chevrolet Impala driven by Sirena Wahquahbashkuk of Horton was northbound on Kansas 20 highway and rear-ended a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Tara Speer of Horton, who was turning north on U.S. 73, according to Sheriff John Merchant.
Hiawatha Town and Country transported Wahquahbashkuk to Amberwell with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were totaled. Everest First responders were immediately on the scene. Iowa police assisted. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
