Brian Hughes, 66, a life-long resident of St. Joseph, Mo died at his home on July 8, 2024.
Brian was born on June 1, 1958 in St. Joseph to Bill and Awyn Hughes. He graduated from Central High School in 1976.
Brian and his father operated Hughes Mobile Home Service for many of his working years.
Brian was very handy and worked for Wilbert Vault Company and eventually retired from the Missouri Western State University maintenance team.
Brian was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with his sons. He lived for hosting his family and friends for happy hour on his tree-lined acreage, which he was very proud of.
Brian is survived by his two sons, Gregory (Robin) and Scott, and their mother, Jane Hughes; his sister, Brenda (Avery) Murray; grandson Owen Hughes and granddaughter Natalie Hughes.
He is preceded in death by his father Bill Hughes and mother Awyn Hughes.
Greg and Scott would especially like to thank Jane Hughes, caretaker Damon Bleazard, neighbors Stan and Donita Sunderland, Danny Coker, and Freudenthal Hospice for helping to support Brian.
