Stewartsville, Missouri… Ann Elizabeth Kerns (Mikkelson), age 52, peacefully entered her heavenly home on Monday, April 8, 2024, at her Stewartsville, Missouri home after a long battle with liver disease.
Ann was born July 8, 1971, in Arlington Heights, Illinois to Dean Willard Mikkelson and the late Linda Rae Umberger (Flo).
She graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1990 in Mountain Grove, Missouri and Vatterott College with a cosmetology degree in 1999 in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
On October 23, 2007, Ann was joined in marriage with Rocky Lee Kerns. They built a home in Stewartsville, Missouri where they would raise their family together. Ann worked as a cosmetologist and cosmetic saleswoman before becoming a stay-at-home mother to her children.
Ann loved to cut hair, try fun makeup looks, craft flower arrangements, and plant flowers. She also had a love for fashion and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chance; mother, Linda Umberger (Flo); father, Donald Umberger; mother, Cheri Mikkelson; paternal grandfather & grandmother, Curtis & Doris Mikkelson; and maternal grandfather & grandmother, Arlo & Hilma Flo.
She is survived by her husband, Rocky Kerns; 4 children, Jake Kerns, Charity Page, River Page, and Emma Kerns; father, Dean Mikkelson; siblings, Clark (Renee) and Bill Mikkelson, Erika (Mike) Kane-Sexton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Turner Family Funeral Home in Stewartsville, Missouri on April 20, 2024. Visitation will take place from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and service will begin at 2:00 pm. Ann will be laid to rest at Old School Presbyterian Cemetery, close to her family home in Stewartsville.
