Two Missouri teens injured after SUV accident

NODAWAY COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Saturday in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford Edge driven by a 16-year-old boy from Stanberry was eastbound on U.S. 136 one mile east of Conception Junction.

The vehicle began to travel off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected.  The SUV crossed the center line, began to skid, traveled off the road, struck a culvert and a fence.

Nodaway County EMS transported a passenger Bailey R. Wallace, 19, Stanberry to Mosaic in Maryville. A private vehicle transported the teen driver also to Mosaic. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
