Robert Lee Richter, 92 of Savannah passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at his home in Savannah. He was born June 14, 1930, in Dekalb County, MO to Fred & Elpha (Petty) Richter. He graduated from Union Star High School in 1949.
He loved his family and enjoyed square dancing, volunteering, puzzles, thrift stores, and bluegrass music.
Survivors include his children, James (Mary) Richter of Stewartsville, Jerry (Patty) Richter of Kansas City, MO, and Janice Markt of Stewartsville; grandchildren, Cathy Chorpenning, William Richter, Angie Richter, Megan Markt, Brice Markt, Audrey Richter, and Lillian Richter; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Marvin Richter of Sliver City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marjorie Campbell; and brothers, Willis Richter and Herman Dale Richter.
Visitation and family receiving hour will be 10:00am-11:00am Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO with funeral services following at 11:00am. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.
