Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph is caring for students involved in a school bus accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon at Riverside Road south of 36 Highway.

St. Joseph Police say the bus was making a turn into a private driveway off of 2000 Riverside Road. The bus was struck in the rear by another vehicle.

Five juveniles were transported to Mosaic for minor injuries via ambulance, while five more were taken there by family members. There were no serious injuries from the accident.

Mosaic CEO Mike Poore says all of the students were brought to the hospital have been reunited with their families.

The accident occurred around 3 p.m. There were 24 total students on the bus from Central High School and Truman Middle School. The St. Joseph School District says they will provide counseling for those students who were passengers on the bus if needed.
