Norine Dunlap 1927 - 2025

Norine Dunlap, 97, of St. Joseph, MO passed on into eternal Life on Friday, January 17, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Easton, Missouri on March 10, 1927 to Theodore and Leona (Tyler) Grier.

Norine graduated Salutatorian of her Easton High School class, Gard Business College and St. Joseph Junior College.

She was employed by John Deere factory in Waterloo, IA, Standard Oil Company, Missouri Valley Trust Company, Sun Clothing factory, Noma Light Company, LaRon’s Meats, Aramark Foods-MWSC, and Wal-Mart, all of St. Joseph.

Norine married Ralph Harold Dunlap on December 21, 1947; residing in Agency, Missouri, where they raised their two children. In 1962 Norine and Harold purchased a farm and moved to Easton, Missouri. Norine and Harold enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and fishing.

Norine also enjoyed being a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Chapter #43 at Saxton, Missouri, and a project leader in 4-H, classroom teacher and craft leader in Vacation Bible School, and Sunday School teacher for many years.

Preceded in death by husband Ralph Harold Dunlap; parents, Theodore and Leona Grier; stepmother Abbie; brother Harold and two baby brothers; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survived by son Harold Dennis (Eileen) Dunlap and daughter Glenda Dunlap (John Marx); grandchildren, Meredith (Conda) Robbins, Michael Dunlap (Billy), Melissa Dunlap, Jason (Alison) Marx, Julie (Darrel) Murphy, and Gary (Elizabeth) Kountz; great-grandchildren, Ayden Richardson, J.P. and Levi Wood, Jase and Lane Marx, Ann and Daniel Murphy, Dominic and Mia Kountz.

She will be missed also by her many friends and extended (family) relatives.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 AM. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
